GoodLife Fitness has had a long-standing mission since they opened their first gym in 1979: give every person living in Canada the opportunity to live a fit and healthy life. With a new campaign championing inclusivity, diversity, and grit, Canada’s #1 gym embarked on a website redesign to improve user experience and align design, copy and functionality with their new brand positioning.

Improving UX with new functionality

As part of the website redesign, GoodLife Fitness is introducing new features that allow visitors and/or members to search, filter, book, and manage their group fitness classes. With so many filters and actions available, working closely with the UX designers, business analysts and developers to make sure users get a clear, concise and easy experience has been paramount.

By observing and implementing findings from user testing, our team was able to ensure smooth and intuitive design and copy that will allow members to get even more out of their memberships.

Aligning new branding with a fresh approach

In parallel with the website redesign, GoodLife Fitness launched a new campaign that champions the inclusivity and grit of all Canadians. We redesigned the Homepage, Personal Training and For Women pages—three of their most important pages—to align with their new brand positioning and help them market their most attractive attributes.

  • Homepage: the first stop for GoodLife members and visitors now tells the story of everything you can experience at GoodLife.
  • For Women: women-only clubs, spaces and training are presented as comfortable, motivating places for women to set goals, achieve them, and set new ones.
  • Personal Training: the redesign and fresh copy sells the benefits of personal training and focuses on the level of professionalism and commitment that personal trainers have with their clients.
